Maruti Suzuki has launched a facelift of the Alto 800. The new car is available for a price of Rs 2.49-3.34 lakh and is now 9 per cent more fuel-efficient than the earlier model. The car also gets a provision for fog lamps, which are well-integrated in the bumper. The lower half of the bumper houses a large intake, which as compared to the last generation car has been inverted to make it look more aggressive. The car now has a fuel economy of 24.7kmpl and the CNG version also shows an improvement of over 10 per cent above its predecessor with a mileage of 33.44kmpl. Other updates include remote keyless entry and updated interior upholstery across the range.

The stylish hatchback is based on the same CMF-A platform as the Renault Kwid and even uses the same engine – an 800cc petrol motor that develops 54PS of power and 72Nm of torque.
